Today is the FIRST PAGE of my 365 Day Book for 2024 .. Camera’s are loaded with FILM and took this with my Digital Olympus .. I am going to try and use my iPhone camera less and get back to using my film & digital cameras.  I miss shooting with them and I miss creating art.  Using a digital camera or a film camera – is a slower process of creating and sharing images and outweighs the use of smartphone cameras.  Its more creative and more thought process and so nostalgic.

 

Photography has always been my passion .. since way back when I was little and had my first Raggedy Ann Polaroid or maybe it was a Swinger Model Polaroid .. I need to find that pic and I wish I still had that camera if it was Raggedy Ann .. lol 😂 .. I do have the Swinger though!   I got into photography seriously in late 1999 – 2000 and stopped really using my cameras probably back in 2015 when I moved from California to Alabama.  Slowly the last 3-4 years I have started using them and invested in lighter Olympus gear.

Back in 2011 my boyfriend (now husband) asked me why I didn’t have old cameras .. I had my Dads old Yashica 35mm but that was it.  He started finding me old cameras and since we both love to vintage shop .. we started hunting and collecting them together. 💕 📷

 

I am feeling 2024 is going to be a promising year and very creative .. I would love more than ANYTHING to create ALL DAY and do it for a LIVING!  I am sure a lot of peoples DREAM too.  Let’s do this!  #shescrafty
